What sets this place apart from a typical campground?
You are right on the edge of Bahia San Agustin — one of Huatulco's most protected and scenic bays. The experience here is intimate, off-grid, and genuinely close to nature. Campfires, clear skies, and the Pacific a short walk away.
Do you have full hookups for RVs?
Yes. Electric and water hookups are available on-site. Free parking is available in the lot and on the nearby street. Send us a WhatsApp message at +52 958 144 9032 before arriving to confirm your RV dimensions and we will have the best space ready for you.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are very welcome here. We ask that they stay on a leash in shared areas and that owners clean up after them. The beach and surrounding trails make this a great destination for dogs and their people alike.
What water activities are available in the bay?
The bay offers excellent snorkeling over coral reefs on the western side. You can rent a kayak to explore the coastline or hire a local panga (fishing boat) to visit nearby bays such as Cacaluta, Chachacual, and La India — most of which are only accessible by water.
When is the best time to visit?
Huatulco is welcoming year-round. Weekdays tend to be quieter than weekends. From November through April, whale and dolphin sightings are common offshore. The dry season (October through April) brings the most consistent sunshine and calm water.
Are there restaurants or food options nearby?
Several casual beachfront palapa restaurants are located along the sand at Bahia San Agustin, offering fresh seafood, ceviche, and local Oaxacan dishes. We recommend bringing cash as card readers can be unreliable at beach locations.
How do I get to the campsite?
The campsite is at Bahia de San Agustin S/N, 70985 Santa Maria Huatulco, Oaxaca. The bay is reachable by a dirt road (manageable by most vehicles) or by boat from Santa Cruz Huatulco. Use the map below or Plus Code MQR7+79 for navigation.
